Dieckfoss Finishes 87th At
NCAA Meet
Terrier
freshman Jochen Dieckfoss (Tubingen,
Germany) closed out his initial collegiate cross country season, and the season
in general for the Terrier team, when he finished 87th at the NCAA Division 1
Championships hosted by Iowa State University on November 20th.
Dieckfoss, who had earned an invitation to the meet by virtue of his ninth-place
finish at the Northeast Regional Meet on November 11th, placed 87th at the NCAAs. He was clocked in 31:39.
His running at the NCAA's
capped off a very successful season for Dieckfoss.
He
opened the season by placing second in the inaugural meet vs. UMass/Amherst,

in the Meet of Champions that was hosted by

on the schedule was the New England Championships. Again, he was the top Terrier
to finish as he was seventh overall to lead the Terriers to a ninth-place
finish.
Then
came the America East championships where he turned in
a 25:01.47, which was the ninth fastest time in the 13-year history of the
men's championship. His performance helped lead the Terriers to the overall
team title, unseating two-time defending champion
